Techrules GT96 runs as a Turbine-Recharging Electric Vehicles, built with a small board jet turbine serves as a generator for the electric motor, which enables the car to run on gasoline, diesel or even natural gas. The model art concept that the Techrules GT96 would look like appears to be a Batmobile-like car.
According to AutoBlog, the car was first shown at Geneva Motor Show on March. The automaker pleads that the combination the car produces enables it to run at a 1,000 horsepower and could go more than 1,200 miles on a full tank. The car's top speed is 200 miles per hour and could go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 2.5 seconds. It was not only the GT96 that Techrules releases but also another car in the AT96 in the Geneva Motor Show.
Furthermore, AutoCar writes that Fabrizio and Giorgetto Giugiaro design the car. International motorsport specialist L. M. Giannetti engineers the chassis. The Chines Manufacturer Model car was first released following a testing on Italy's Monza circuit. Other designs it includes would be the laser headlights and reversing LED's with a rear-view camera.
The electric-only car was projected to go only up to 93 miles per hour, but the GT96 is different with a top speed of 217 miles per hour. Gianetti, engineer of Techrules, said that they will handle production of the car up to 25 units per year by the end of 2017.
Techrules claims that its TREV system is sealed-for-life and requires almost zero maintenance. The only item that needs to be monitored would be the air intake filter, which would be severely used as changing of gas would cause the formation of dirt on it. Other than the air intake filter, Techrules claims that no other parts require maintenance. Further specs and details would be released in the upcoming months, but one thing for sure is that the car would not see an official light of day until a few years. No pricing has been disclosed, but if ever the car hits the road, with its specs, it would be very expensive.
