The Luxurious Infiniti Q50 Sport Saloon Will Have Semi-Autonomous Features, Will Be at Geneva Motor Show!

The Infiniti Q50 sport saloon will be available for viewing at the Geneva Motor Show. The best-selling vehicle will now have better features and upgrades and will likely boost its appeal in the luxury sports saloon market.

According to a report by Express, Infiniti said that they have opted to fuse innovative technologies that empower and support the drive by taking a holistic approach to the vehicle's performance. One of the most notable features is ProPilot.

ProPilot is a self-driving enabled driving mode. In this sense, the Q50 will have semi-autonomous features. It is based on a platform which all future autonomous Infiniti vehicles will be based upon. As such, this is Nissan's luxury brand's entry into the semi-autonomous driving world.

The ProPilot platform includes Direct Adaptive Steering which also improves driver-operated manueuverability and steering response. Other driver assistance systems that form part and parcel of the Infiniti Q50 include an Active Lane Control, Predictive Collision Warning, and Emergency Braking. Additionally, cruise control and 360 degree cameras will also aid with maneuverability.

In another report by Carscoops, the website asks didn't the Q50 just get an update for the 2017 Paris Auto Show? To answer that, yes the vehicle did, according to the website. But this was not enough for Nissan's premium arm. They decided to give the compact luxury sedan some more upgrades for this week's Geneva Motor Show.

The 2018 Q50 now has a mildly tweaked front bumper as well as resculpted lines. It also features new fog lamps. Additionally, Infiniti has revealed that the interior has been refreshed and redesigned to perform even better than before.

Additionally, the refreshed Q50 will still continue to use a range of turbocharged engines. This includes a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 from the VR powertrain family. This comes in a 300 horsepower and 400 horsepower version.

The revamped Infiniti Q50 will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show on March 7. It will be featured alongside the Q60 Black S concept. What do you think about the new redesign and the semi-autonomous capabilities? Share your thoughts and comments below.
