The new AMD Ryzen 7 is surprisingly impressive in terms of performance. Things are not looking too good for Intel at the moment with the Ryzen 7 1800X surpassing Cinebench's CPU performance benchmark.

Intel currently overshadowed by AMD with a recording-breaking Cinebench performance of the Ryzen 7 1800X. The recently released AMD Ryzen 7 was expected to offer the highest of CPU performance. It definitely delivered on that expectation with the top of the line Ryzen 7 1800X.

The Ryzen 7 1800X has a base speed of 3.6GHz and is known to go up to 4.0GHz overclocked normally. However, it was reported to have gone up to 5.8GHz with all eight cores running with the help of liquid nitrogen and a lot of voltage. It was able to get a score of 2,449cb, 39cb higher than the previous world record of 2,410cb.

The Intel Kaby Lake processor may already be on its way but what can it truly offer? It is expected to have a base speed the same as the 1800x. It could go up to 0.2GHz higher than the AMD's top level processor when overclocked. However, does 0.2GHz really matter knowing that the 1800X can go up to 5.8GHz?

The Kaby Lake processor is expected to be powerful yet energy efficient but so is the Ryzen 7. The Ryzen 7 1800X, 1700X, and 1700 chips all deliver impressive performance at much lesser wattages than the current line of i7 processors.

With the company slowly losing its lead in the PC microprocessor market, it is only fitting that it starts looking into another venture. It has been reported that the tech firm will be looking into manufacturing mobile processors for smartphones.

The company wasn't able to break into the smartphone market for being late for LTE. However, with 5G smartphones expected to succeed LTE ones and soon take over, the company is said to be taking advantage of the opportunity to make up for lost ground.
