Microsoft Surface Phone is one of the highly anticipated flagship from the giant tech company, alongside the Microsoft Surface Pro 5. Since it did not show up at the recently concluded 2017 MWC, reports are now pointing to an October release.

Prior to the 2017 Mobile World Congress, the Microsoft Surface Phone has been highly speculated to make its grand appearance in the said event. Despite no official statements, many still believed that the said event is the best avenue to display the new smartphone as the event is known for popular phone launches. Unfortunately, Microsoft did not make the expected launch of the new handset.

Now, reports are saying the upcoming Microsoft Surface Phone will most likely delay until spring 2017. Apparently, the new handset will still need to wait for its impressive component, Windows 10 Creators Update. PCAdvisor predicts that the new handset will probably come out in the upcoming Microsoft's annual event in October.

The upcoming Windows 10 Creators Update claims to feature the latest wave of innovation beneficial for creativity and gaming experience. If the upcoming Surface phone will carry this new update, the new handset can boast of a state-of-the-art creativity and gaming experience features.

According to ZDNet, the Windows 10 Creators Update is expected to be released next month. Does this mean that the anticipated Surface phone will debut next month too?

Meanwhile, the upcoming Microsoft Surface Phone is expected to come out with a 5.5-inch AMOLED display. The display is reportedly sporting a 1440 x 2560 pixels in Quad-HD resolution.

The new smartphone flagship is predicted to have either Intel or Snapdragon 835 CPU processor. The camera features might include an 8-megapixel front camera and a 21-megapixel rear camera.

In terms of storage, the new Microsoft Surface phone is expected to offer 128 GB capacity with 4GB of RAM. This can also be expanded through its microSD slot.
