The Bunte report has been denied by the family even calling it "irresponsible". Schumacher's manager has urged fans to continue praying for Michael's recovery and to respect his family's request for privacy.

The level of protectiveness the family of Schumacher has around the retired racing driver's condition is so high that even former manager, Willi Webber, is in the dark. According to Webber, he sent Michael flowers and card for his birthday but never got a response. He said, "There seems to be the fear that I would disclose something about Michael's condition but I would never do that. I would even sign a non-disclosure agreement."
