The results are out, Android phones are winning against iPhones as Blanco Technology latest quarterly report reveals that in terms of reliability, the Android smartphones won in the past year. It can be recalled that iPhones struggled on features last year that gave Android products a better exposure, showcasing their features.
According to BGR Reviews, the report noted that "the iPhone has been the worst performing iOS device consecutively for four quarters with the highest failure rate compared to other models." There is a significant number of system issues that is being complained by its users from camera problems, touchscreen issues, to battery inconsistencies and other app problems.
Users waited for these issues to be resolved and hoped that the latest IOS updates will solve their troubles. However, it looks like the iOS updates such as the 9.3.1 up to 10.2 updates aggravated the problems. The updates were released from April to December 2016. Same thing happened with its latest models.
The Blanco report mentioned that Android smartphones have a better performance than those running iOS. But it does not discount the probability that its users are taking advantage of all the published tips in forums and tech blogs.
Although it praises Android phones better performance in contrast with the iOS phones, it can't deny that there were also some issues with some Android phones camera features, battery charging, and USB issues. It pointed out Samsung's devices which "consistently had the highest failure rate among Android manufacturers for five quarters in a row."
On the other hand, Blanco results revealed that the number 1 reason why Apple customers complain is because of the constant crashing of its Apps. Although there were also some complaints about the Android phone apps, Android can't be solely blamed for this since Google Play Services is responsible for that. The only difference between Apple Apps and Google is that the later is very much into providing customer support on its apps and devices.
