GDC 2017. According to Express, the video game's director Sean Murray will be at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2017. Murray will be joined by lead programmer Innes McKendrick as well as Paul Weir, the audio director. McKendrick will talk first about world generation followed by Sean Murray. Daily Star also reported that a No Man's Sky Foundation update will likely be available soon. Previously, the last update took only four months between the game's launch and the November update. The same report provided that data miners found extensive data on the existence of new land vehicles in the update. A reliable source wrote that the vehicles will likely have vertical boosters, a jet engine, and even mounted guns. All of the vehicles will be upgradable with the use of existing in-game technologies.
In other GDC 2017 news, Polygon reported that No Man's Sky won the award for innovation at this year's Game Developers Choice Awards. Sadly, Hello Games was not expecting to win and did not attend the event. They were having dinner at the time so no one could accept the neon green robot trophy. The host, Tim Schafer, received the award on their behalf. The Hello Games staff did eventually make it but they were way too late.
No Man's Sky Foundation Update will likely come this month. Hopefully, Sean Murray will mention it during his talk later.
