The Hennessey VelociRaptor is a Ford F-150 Raptor With 605 Horsepower and 622 Lb-Ft of Torque

The Hennessey VelociRaptor takes the already powerful Ford F-150 Raptor to a new level of power. The Raptor's stock 450 horsepower goes up by 155 while its stock 510 lb-ft of torque goes up by 112.

According to a report by Overdrive, the renowned Texas-based tuning company, Hennessey Performance Engineering, is well known for making exciting and compelling vehicles. Having built the legendary Hennessey Venom 1000 Viper and Venom GT Spyder supercars, John Hennessey and his boys really know how to make cars go faster.

The new upgrade package for the Ford F-150 Raptor, referred to as the VelociRaptor, cranks up the truck's 3.5-liter V6 engine up to 605 horsepower and 622 lb-ft of torque. The Hennessey-tuned pickup truck is able to drop 0.8 seconds from its 0 to 60 mph sprint. It can do it in 4.2 seconds and the quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds at 110 mph. This is an improvement of 0.8 seconds in time and 10 mph in speed.

Another report by Road and Track stated that the Hennessey VelociRaptor has new turbochargers that increase boost pressure. It also has an upgraded intercooler and low-restriction intake. In addition, Hennessey added a new stainless steel dual exhaust and modified the engine management system to take full advantage of all the new equipment.

The upgrade package will cost $22,500. It comes with a three-year or 36,000-mile warranty from the Texas tuners. More interesting is that on their homepage, Hennessey claims that it can even upgrade a Ford F-150 Raptor up to 700 horsepower, but there is no mention of how much it will cost.

The Texas-based company also developed an off-road package for an additional $12,995. It adds front and rear bumpers, more LED lights, 35-inch Toyo tires, and a three-inch suspension lift.

There will only be 100 Hennessey VelociRaptor pickup trucks built. If you want one, order yours soon. Or if you want something bigger, it would also be a good idea to wait for the six-wheel VelociRaptor 6x6 too.
