It started with the Surface 3 when its listing went missing on the Microsoft Store. Now it is the Surface Pro 3 that has reportedly gone missing which could mean that it may have already been discontinued.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is no more. According to a report from tech reviews and news website TechRadar, the Pro 3 can no longer be searched on the US, UK, and Australia web pages of the tech company's Microsoft Store. One can still access Microsoft pages that list the device through a quick search on search giant Google. However, the link to purchase the device just redirects visitors to the homepage of Microsoft's online store.

Speculations are saying that the demise of the Pro 3 date back as early as January 30 of this year. There are not any reliable sources that claim this to be true, though.

The company's earnings call conference on January 26 stated that the Surface 3 was going to be replaced by the Book and Pro 4. There was no mention of the Pro 3 ever getting replaced or discontinued. The device even got a firmware update at the end of January.

What is happening to Pro 3 listings now is exactly what happened to the Surface 3's with visitors being redirected to the Microsoft Store homepage. The Australian web page that still featured the Surface 3 at the time even listed the device as "Out of Stock".

Redmond-based tech giant Microsoft has not released any word on the discontinuation of the Pro 3 so far. It has been expected that the device would be discontinued as the launch of the much speculated Surface Pro 5 draws nearer. What wasn't expected though was the lack of an official announcement.

TechRadar has reached out to Microsoft regarding the matter already. The tech firm has not gotten back yet as of this writing.
