EA, DICE Hosts ‘Battlefield 1’ Free-To-Play Trial Weekend For Xbox One, PC Players

"Battlefield 1" wants you to sign up and join the front lines this weekend, for free. Electronic Arts and DICE wants to keep your appetite wet for more World War 1 battle as they are hosting a free-to-play weekend for both Xbox One and PC platforms.

Since a number of games are grabbing everyone's attention for February and March, EA wants you to keep on feasting by serving you a heaping of "Battlefield 1" access. Yes, Xbox One and PC players will not be getting a sample free-to-play trial weekend, but a full-game weekend completely for free.

Xbox One. Thanks to the Xbox Live Gold membership (this is a requirement, however), users can play both the single-player and multiplayer with no restrictions or caps. "Battlefield 1" free-to-play trial weekend will begin on March 3 at 9 am PT/12pm ET/5pm UK and will last until Sunday, March 5 at 11:59 pm PT/2.59am ET (March 6)/ 7.59am UK (March 6).

So, get ready and enjoy a complete access to a world where war is the only way out. Don't forget to check out the game's entire campaign chapter and explore all the multiplayer maps.

PC. Meanwhile, it is a little bit different free-to-play trial weekend for PC players. Origin free trial is only limited to 10 hours. However, players will get to explore 2 multiplayer maps and one single-player campaign chapter, according to GameSpot.

The first 2 "War Stories" on "Battlefield 1" single-player campaign will be available. PC players can begin playing starting Friday, March 3, at 5 am PT/8am ET/1pm UK until Monday, March 6, at 10 am PT/1pm ET/6pm UK.

Similar to other games that hosted free-to-play days, all gamerscore and achievements earned in the duration of the event will be carried over to the full game if the player does purchase it. This includes all saves and game data, too.

PlayStation 4. Unfortunately for PS4 players, no free trial weekend was announced by either EA or DICE. Perhaps, PS4 players get to sit this one out.

"Battlefield 1" is currently on sale for $30 at the Microsoft store for all platforms as part of the EA's week-long sale. You better pull the trigger now though as the sale will only last until the end of the week.

Also, according to GameZone, if PC players use their Origin Access trial when purchasing the game, they get an even bigger discount. But they also warned not to take their word for it as they really haven't tried it. Yet, you could.

Don't forget "Battlefield 1" DLC Pack "They Shall Not Pass" will launch this March along with a "Dark Souls" Easter egg. EA also announced further details of the other expansions of the game, "In the Name of the Tsar," "Turning Tides," and "Apocalypse."

"Battlefield 1" is now available for Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. Also, have a great weekend with the free-to-play trial.
