Is 'Pokemon Stars' for Nintendo Switch Releasing Soon or Coming at All?

The 'Pokemon Stars' release date has not yet been made available. A confusing new ad featuring Usain Bolt seems to suggest that the new Pokemon game could come soon.

According to a report by Tech.Mic, Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt is in a new Pokemon commercial. It shows the nine-time gold medalist as a Team Skull member while doing his signature point pose.

In the Japanese commercial, the Olympic gold medalist is challenging others in the game. The advertisement is for 'Pokemon Sun and Moon' and was only released just last week. This has led the website to believe that the very late airing of this commercial may be a teaser that something big is coming soon.

The site speculates that the ad should have come in November when the Sun and Moon game just released. Showing it three months after the already very successful game has already gone big could increase the game's already massive hype, but it could also be paving the way for 'Pokemon Stars.' At the moment, this is all just speculation, and hopefully, the website is correct with their observations.

Elsewhere, a different story has been making the rounds. In a recent interview with The Pokemon Company's president and CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara, the CEO revealed interesting details about the Nintendo Switch. According to WWG, a translation of the interview shows that Ishihara thinks that the Switch is a different machine that needs an entirely different approach.

These statements have been evaluated to mean that maybe the company will delay the 'Pokemon Stars' release date for the Nintendo Switch. In addition, it could be very different from what fans were hoping for. But this all still remains to be seen and hopefully, it will be everything that fans were hoping for. There has even been some speculation that maybe the game will never be released at all. However, this is very unlikely at this point.

'Pokemon Stars' for the Nintendo Switch will hopefully get a release date soon. In the meantime, let's enjoy Usain Bolt's bizarre commercial below.
