2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Totally Crushes Its Predecessor and the Chevrolet Silverado

he 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor is all new and boasts a lot of firsts. It is much more powerful and incredibly lighter than its predecessor and makes the Chevy Silverado seem very weak in comparison.

According to a report by Ford Authority, the all new F150 Raptor will have a full dual exhaust in addition to its V6 engine. The new Ford Raptor's dual exhaust was fine-tuned and engineered on the dynamometer to guarantee excellent performance. The end result is an incredible 450 peak horsepower with up to 510 lb-ft of torque. This is a marked improvement from the old 6.2-liter V-8 engines.

The twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 instead of the V8 did confuse a lot of people. However, the results clearly speak for themselves. The 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor recently went up against a last-generation 2014 model with a V-8 engine and the latter didn't stand a chance.

According to Road and Track, the new Raptor is down some cylinders, but its horsepower and torque were significantly improved. The 450 horsepower sees a 39 point increase while the 510 lb-ft sees a 76 point increase over the old F150 Raptor.

The new 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 also features a quick-shifting 10-speed A/T gearbox. This keeps the twin-turbo engine at top power performance. Moreover, the aluminum construction makes the new model 500 pounds lighter than its predecessor.

Speaking of the new Raptor's competition, NSEA Voice reported that it makes the Chevy Silverado look like a wuss. The all-new Raptor is a beast and its performance, and an off-road test showed amazing results and feats that the Silverado can only dream of doing.

The all-new 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor is a definite winner. It is powerful, it can perform well off-road, and it is available with a lot of features! What do you think about it? Share your thoughts and comments below.
