Current Williams Formula One driver Felipe Massa have recently revealed that he had held talks with the Jaguar Formula E team regarding the possibility of moving to the all-electric single-seater series. In February, it was reported that Massa completed a test in Formula E class driving Jaguar's car.

Massa announced his retirement from Formula One when Williams decided to sign Lance Stroll as the teammate of Valtteri Bottas for the 2017 season. However, a series of events have persuaded Massa to come out of retirement and once again drive for Williams.

It all started when Nico Rosberg shocked the Formula One world by announcing his retirement in December. Subsequently, Mercedes scrambled to replace the ace driver and was able to recruit Bottas, who at that time was slated to drive for Williams. With Bottas' departure from Williams, Massa was pulled out of retirement.

Regarding the possibility of driving for Jaguar in the Formula E class, Massa said that it is slightly leaning towards that possibility. The 11-time Grand Prix winner said that he is considering to switch to Formula E in case he is unable to secure a place in the 2017 F1 season. Massa added that Formula one is still his top priority and that he will stay in the sport should any opportunity surfaces.

"I was thinking I would race somewhere for sure. It was an option, Formula E. I didn't take any decision," Massa said in a statement acquired by ESPN. Now for sure, I will not take any decision now. I decided to come back to Formula One."

According to Auto Sport, Massa kicked off his 2017 Formula One season by completing 103 laps and scoring the third-fastest lap on day one of the season's test drive in Barcelona. Massa said that he is fully prepared for the upcoming season despite spending part of the off-season on retirement.
