Peugeot-Citroen confirmed this week that their highly-anticipated Hybrid Air vehicle will debut at the Geneva Auto Show next month according to a report by Environment News.
Peugeot shocked the auto world in January when they revealed their plans for the Hybrid Air, and said that they're confident that they'll be able to release the vehicle to dealerships no later than 2016.
"We are not talking about weird and wacky machines," said a Peugeot Citroen company spokesman according to ABC News. "These are going to be in everyday cars."
At least four different "Hybrid Air" vehicles have been successfully produced so far according to company spokesman Jean-Baptiste Thomas. The vehicles have approximately 12,000 miles of testing completed as well. While the exterior design won't be that unique, its what's under the hood and body of the vehicle that will make the car different from anything else available.

The company predicts that people will save approximately 45 percent on gas if they do chose to buy the Hybrid Air vehicle. Gas in the U.S. was sold at an average $3.31 per gallon this week, and the average car gets around 27 mpg in regular driving according to ABC News.
Approximately 10 percent of the vehicles that will be on display at the Geneva Auto Show will be hybrid vehicles according to Maurice Turrenttini, president of the Geneva Auto Show.
"It is clearly evident that these vehicles are now completely integrated into the product offerings of the manufacturers and are interesting to all the visitors to the Motor Show and not just to those who are involved in ecology movements or those who are only technology-oriented," said Turrenttini according to Environment News.
The auto show officially opens to the public on March 7. Click here for more information on news that's already been released about the show.
