2018 Volvo V90: Impressive And Luxurious As Any Volvo Vehicle

The new Volvo V90 could probably be the best looking wagon ever released by Volvo. It is able to offer style without compromising utility.

The 2018 Volvo V90. The new V90 is built using the same platform as the S90 and shares its wheelbase and width although the V90 is taller by 1.3 inches. However, it is 1.1-inches shorter in terms of overall length due to a smaller rear overhang. Visually, the differences between the two are the V90's quarter panels, angled D-pillars, and an aesthetically pleasing greenhouse. It sports the same characters lines, surfacing, and dash-to-axle ratio as the S90.

V90 has a spectacularly luxurious interior. It allows 19.8 cubic feet of space with the rear seats up which could grow up to 53.9 cubic feet if folded down flat. Unfortunately, this wagon doesn't have a third row of seats.

The US V90 will most likely be the T6 model which comes with either a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine or a 2.0-liter supercharged four-cylinder on an all-wheel drive system. Volvo claims that the wagon can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 6.0 seconds. This is possible due to 316 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque which is achievable starting at 2,200 revolutions per minute to 5,400. Both engines are paired with an Aisin-Warner eight-speed automatic transmission that allows the driver full manual control.

The 2018 Volvo V90 wagon's cabin is impressively quiet and comfortable. It looks almost identical to the S90 except for the space behind the backseat and features high-end materials and vertical vents called Airblade. The dash has the car manufacturer's innovative and intelligent 9.0-inch display touchscreen.

Driver performance is relaxing and every turn showcases the vehicle's precision and grip which is actually pleasantly surprising. It noticed that steering get tad bit tedious when easing the steering wheel off-center. The steering makes the car feel heavier and a little difficult to maneuver.
