Which Made The Most Explosive Launch At The 2017 Mobile World Congress?

2017 Mobile World Congress opened its doors on Feb. 27. The event hosted the latest flagships sporting the latest technology advancements on smartphones. Here is a summary of the new flagships that made some explosive launches at this year's congress.

SONY. There were three anticipated flagships but Sony launched a surprise fourth and powerful model too. Apparently, Sony made the loudest noise with its very impressive Sony Xperia XZ Premium. This surprise Xperia XZ Premium appears to be the best launched smartphone as it comes with two of the latest technology advancements.

The Sony Xperiz XZ Premium boasts of its 4K HDR in 5.5-in display. It also comes with the impressive Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. This new handset came out to be the first smartphone to come out with both latest features.

Sony has also launched three more flagships, the Xperia XZs, Xperia XA1, and Xperia XA1 Ultra. For more details, you may check out this link

SAMSUNG. Galaxy Tab S3 was introduced with 9.7-inch Super AMOLED display. Samsung also launched the Galaxy Book which has two variants, the 10.6-inch TFT LCD version and the 12-inch Super AMOLED version. Both variants boasts of its capacity to support HDR (High Dynamic Range) video content.

LG G6. This 5.7-inch handset from LG boasts of its 18:9 screen aspect ratio, which makes the new flagship the first smartphone to have such features. According to LG, this ratio allows "more viewing space and a more immersive experience" when users play games or stream videos.

Aside from this excellent ration, the LG G6 also features FullVision display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 821, 13-megapixel rear camera and Android 7.0 Nougat. Interested buyers may choose from three color variants, the Ice Platinum, Mustic White and Astro Black.

NOKIA. The beloved Nokia 3310 is indeed back! Nokia re-launched the new version of its 3310 at the HMD Global booth. The new 3310 comes different with its slimmer body and latest version of the "Snake" game. The new Nokia 3310 is coming out later this year in four color variants, yellow, red, grey and matte blue.

Nokia 6 was also launched at the HMD booth. This model has been released in China earlier in January and is now scheduled to have its global release in the second quarter of 2017. The new Nokia 6 will come in various colors for a price of $240 (€229), but the limited-edition gloss black variant will be more expensive at $320 (€299).

Aside from Nokia 6, HMD has also announced to release two other models, the Nokia 5 and Nokia 3. Both models were described to be Android phones too.

BLACKBERRY. Under the new manufacturer, TLC, two new models were unveiled at the MWC. TLC launched the BlackBerry Mercury and the BlackBerry KEYone.

The BlackBery KEYone sports a mix of touch display and physical keyboard. It also comes with a fingerprint sensor, Android 7.1, and the BlackBerry Hub which consolidates all messages into one location.

The BlackBerry Mercury was also launched at the MWC, although it was already introduced at CES. The new handset comes with a QWERTY keyboard, as well as a fingerprint scanner, Wired reported.
