Overwatch's 24th hero has been a never ending debate within the Overwatch community. Leak after leak, clues, and speculations continues to grow with a question, who is the 24th hero? Since Overwatch Developers has been known for its unorthodox approach in dropping updates, fans are left hanging with what to expect.

Anchora was the first hero speculated to come as the 24th hero for Overwatch. Anchora is a codename for a tank quadruped speculated to possess the ability to walk through walls and obstacles, and fire shockwaves to its enemies. Anchora was on top of the headlines for Overwatch after fans seeing a leaked photo of giant mechanical spider many speculated to be a strong connection to Anchora. Again, Developer, Jeff Kaplan turned down this allegation saying the next Overwatch hero is "not who you think it is," says Kaplan in the recent DICE summit.

This message by Kaplan leave fans hanging and wondering what the next major update for Overwatch will be. Then, a new headline surface the internet and the Overwatch community by storm. The official Overwatch website feature Efi Oladele from Numbani, a robotic science prodigy. Many again believe she is the 24th hero for Overwatch. This speculation heightened its possibilities when Overwatch released a teaser trailer regarding the unexpected encounter between Efi and Doomfist in Numbani Airport.

When many believed and assured that Efi is the 24th Overwatch hero, a cross-examination claiming Doomfist might be the next Overwatch hero rising. A tweet by Overwatch saying "the Doomfist Gauntlet is gone" opens a possibility that Doomfist caused the attack in Numbani Airport.

So far, leaks suggest either of the three could be the next hero for Overwatch. But, there is also a possibility that the next hero is not even one of the three named characters. These characters might be part of the story leading to the real upcoming character. Well, who knows, Blizzard is set to reveal the details in the future.
