In 2016, the mobile company Samsung launched the Galaxy TabPro S that borrowed and improved many of the features and ideas that were put forth by Microsoft’s Surface line. Now in 2017, Samsung is getting more aggressive in penetrating the tablet market as they are launching three new tablets that will have even more improvements from the latest models.

According to Pocket-Lint, the Galaxy Book, a Windows 10 tablet is expected to compete directly with Microsoft’s up and coming new Surface Pro. The first evidence of the Galaxy Book was uncovered by MSPowerUser who noticed a new Book Settings app in the Windows App Store. The app referenced features like battery life extender, pattern log-in, and pen.

The Verge reported that the Galaxy Book 10 and Galaxy Book 12 will run Windows 10 as an operating system. The Galaxy Tab S3 will be the only one running on Android. The tablets come with style pen and keyboard cases. Galaxy Book 10 and Galaxy Book 12 come with slim, aluminum designs and will be available in both Wi-Fi and LTE models.

The Book 10 has a 10.6-inch, 1920 x1280 pixel LCD display, and it is equipped with Intel Core m3 processor. On the other hand, the Book 12 comes with 12-inch Super AMOLED HDR display and it is powered by Intel’s fanless Core i5 processor. The Book 12 features a better camera, faster processor and better screen than the Book 10. But both of the tablets have a 10 hours battery life, fast charging, and USB Type-C ports.

The included keyboard case comes with improved key travel, island-style keycaps, and backlighting. The trackpad is also 50% bigger than the included with the TabPro S. The included pen supports over 4,000 levels of pressure sensitivity, and comes with 0.7mm rubber tip. Samsung has not said anything about the release date or the price of the Book models.
