The 2017 Kia Niro will be available in Canada below $35,000. The un-hybrid car is known for its fuel economy, style and function.
Just recently, Kia has been on the buzz lately with the 2017 Kia Soul that is said to be a pleasing mixture of a hatchback, wagon and SUV. Auto World News reported that it has standard and optional features that buyers would want to drive.
Now, this new addition to the company will hit Canada under different price range depending on what type of car the buyer wished to get. The buyer can choose from different types like Kia Niro L that amounts to$24,995; Kia Niro EX that amounts to $27,49 and Kia Niro EX Premium and Kia Niro SX Touring that amounts to $32,995, Wheels reported
"The new Kia Niro will finally provide Canadians with the best of both worlds.It's stylish and functional but also benefits from being our first dedicated eco-platform. In fact, it's already set a Guinness World Record for fuel economy," Vice President and COO of Kia Canada Ted Lancaster said.
Car and Driver reported that the car has a combined powertrain with a subcompact design. It has a spacious interior that has an elevated seating position for easy entry and exit.
It has a gas engine that has an electric motor with 139 horsepower with a fuel economy of 52 mpg. It also has safety measures like a blind-spot warning, rear traffic alert, adaptive cruise and lane departure warning.
2017 Kia Niro is also known for its eco-friendly design. It has an eco-mode setting that allows higher gears to deliver lesser downshifts that pierce through accelerators and bringing long pauses. However, the site reported that it is aggressive when shutting down the gasoline engine in traffic or driving for less than 30 mph.
The car is said to have a four-cylinder engine and an AC electric generator that can be found within a six-speed automatic transaxle. It uses a new engine with Atkinson-cycle 1.6 liter four-cylinder with exhaust-heat recovery and dual cooling circuits that quickly warms up the engine's cylinder head.
It is known for having 104 horsepower and 109 lb-ft of torque and 40 percent thermal efficiency. 2017 Kia Niro even has a six-speed dual clutch unit that has two hydraulic multiple dry clutches.
