The 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet has not been revealed yet. Many do not know how the car looks like. However, according to reports, the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet combines the coupe, the wagon, and the sedan. It is an all-terrain car. The car is all set to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show that is just a few days away.

The 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet is the first convertible in the E-Class of Mercedes. The car is set to ride on an E-Class platform. The earlier versions were not E-Class. This is a welcome change from the C-Class variants that we had earlier.

It is expected that the Cabriolet will be a Europe-spec E200. It will be powered with an 181-hp turbocharged inline-four making even less power than the 241-horsepower four variants in the US. There is a variant that is also available in the four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, reported Auto Blog.

The car that is set to release in the U.S., will be an E400 convertible. It will be powered by a twin-turbo V-6 gasoline engine. In the coupe, it's rated at 329 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque.

The AMG version of this new cabriolet will most likely be an E50 powered by a turbocharged inline-six. Whichever the variant is, the E-class convertible will be fitted with Daimler's nine-speed conventional automatic. It is expected that Mercedes will offer the all-wheel-drive system as opposed to the standard rear-drive configuration, reported Car and Driver.

Also, the E-Class has always proven its worth. The E300 sedan, the E400 wagon, and the Mercedes-AMG E43 have shown that they have amazing architecture. Cabriolet also falls in the category and it is expected to meet the standards of the E-Class machines.

The model prior to this rode on a modified C-Class platform. Before that, the car that was released resembles a CLK coupe and convertible. All these cars are related to the C-Class.
