Porsche's Own Mission E Electric Vehicle To Launch In 2019 According to Executive

German luxury car manufacturer Porsche has announced that it will be unveiling its very all-electric car within two years. This is in response to the growing demand and popularity of electric vehicles worldwide.

Mission E Model to launch in 2019. According to Porsche China president and CEO Franz Jung, the company's first ever all-electric car, the Mission E, will be launched sometime in 2019. The Mission E model will be able to provide what customers expect of it, a high-performance all-electric vehicle.

The Mission E model is expected to compete with the major players in the electric vehicle market. Launching the Mission E will provide customers another option when looking to buy an electric vehicle.

The German car company has a lot to work on in terms of mass production. Although a lot of companies that it is considering to become rivals are churning out a concept electric vehicles, these vehicles are way easier to produce than actual production vehicles. "They look nice and exciting on stage, but producing a car with the quality a serious car should have is a completely different story," Jung said.

The company currently has two plug-in hybrid vehicles in the market. They are the Cayenne S E-Hybrid and the recently released Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Executive. The company is seeing a lot of potential in the electric vehicle market given that 11 percent of Cayenne-branded vehicle sales were that of the plug-in hybrid kind.

The Porsche Mission E will be the company's first purely electric-powered production vehicle. The concept version is said to have an output of around 600 horsepower and can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 3.5 seconds.

It was unveiled during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The vehicle was given the go signal to into production in 2015. It was initially announced that it would go in production in 2020.
