Jeep Wrangler JL 2018: The One Jeep to Rule Them All?

The highly anticipated 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL has recently been spotted, albeit with heavy camo. The new Wrangler will get its biggest makeover in history. What will the car end up looking like?

This year's Wrangler will be the 11th-generation descendant of the original Jeep that helped America win freedom in World War II. The iconic all-terrain SUV is important to the American automaker because over 200,000 units sold last year. This is one of the car manufacturer's best-selling vehicles and is really the heart and hero of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.

Motor 1 reported that the new Jeep was recently going around in camouflage. The new model will be all-new and will mostly be aluminum. It will make its debut within the year.

No official releases or leaks are available, except the spy photos. The new Wrangler JL was seen in Detroit most recently. On its face, it appears more "boxy" than before.

Additionally, some aerodynamic tweaks are also apparent. The new body looks sleeker and a slightly revised from grille is also visible. A new fixed windshield will also be another significant change. The new 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL will also have something entirely new this year - a backup camera.

According to Four Wheeler Network, the 2018 Wrangler JL will likely come with one of three engine options: a gas V6, a turbocharged I-4, or a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6. Transmission choices will probably be six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic.

Motor 1 has also confirmed the engine news. The website reported that the Pentastar V6 with eight-speed automatic transmission will come standard. A new 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel and a turbocharged four-cylinder "Hurricane" engine will likely join the range as well. In addition, a new hybrid powertrain is rumored to be available for this year.

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler is a stand-out and is worth waiting for. This year will see a lot of significant changes, and hopefully, they will be for the better. The all-new Jeep will likely still be as rugged as ever and will pack extra power with its wide engine choices. Will the new Jeep live up to the crowd's expectations?
