A "furry" of rabbits have been wreaking havoc on parked cars at Denver International Airport according to a report by the Associated Press.

The bunnies were reportedly burrowing underneath fences and eating spark plugs cables and other wires according to the report. Electrical damage underneath the hood of hundreds of cars has also been reported according to the Examiner.

To help prevent the bunnies from destroying the wires, federal wildlife workers have removed over 100 bunnies the past month while parking companies have installed better fences to keep them out.

"I see at least dozens every morning," an airport driver said to CBS. "They go hide under the cars and the cars are warm."

Experts have yet to figure out if the bunnies are going after the wires for a source of food or to just gnaw away at the first thing they can find.

Regardless, the owners of the vehicles have had to pay for the damages out of their own pockets because airport parking lot operators "are not responsible for vandalism."Insurance companies do not always cover damages from rodents or small animals as well.

Mechanics have found another solution to help fend off the rabbits: animal urine.

By coating the wires of your vehicle with fox or coyote urine, rabbits will smell it and thus their appetite for your car parts. Bottles of the suggested urine can be purchased as most hunting stores according to the Associated Press.
