The iPhone 8 reportedly has a Facial Recognition System and Augmented Reality (AR) Applications. Its front camera even has the ability to sense 3D Space.
The new addition to the Apple products has the ability to create 3D Selfies and digital avatars for an augmented reality. News quoted Apple's CEO Tim Cook saying, "I regard it as a big idea like the smartphone. I think AR is that big, it's huge,"
PrimeSense algorithms were tapped to create the camera system of iPhone 8. It can be remembered that Apple acquired the company back in 2013.
The speculations arise when Apple bought Real Face, a start-up facial recognition technology from Israel. According to rumors, Apple will let go of its Touch ID fingerprint scanner for Iris or Facial Recognition Technology.
With this, iPhone will provide a definitive security feature in iPhone 8. However, Apple has still remained mom regarding the possible new security feature of the well-known device.
As for its charging capabilities, Apple just joined the Wireless Power Consortium. Wireless Power Consortium are a group of companies that are backing up the Qi wireless charging standard.
Through this, Mac Rumors reported that Qi has the ability to charge less than a watt to a device that's 2,000 watts of power. This allows an adequate standard of charging smartphones. As of to date, companies like Samsung, LG, HTC, Qualcomm, Dell, Canon, Sony and Huawei have backed up this wireless charging standard.
Apple is rumored to begin iPhone 8 production early next quarter. Users believe that official news about the product will emerge in the next couple of months.
This is not the first of innovation coming from Apple. Last year, Automotive News reported that Apple is also creating a car operating system. Apple is rumored to launched iPhone 8 in September 2017, marking iPhone's 10th anniversary.
