Speculations are saying that the Samsung Galaxy S8 is going to be big. There are also speculations that the Plus variant will be one massive smartphone.

Galaxy S8 Plus to have a 6.2-inch display. The Plus model of the S8 has been said to sport a massive display. According to a VentureBeat reporter's tweet, The S8 Plus will have a 6.2-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display in full rectangle. The display, with rounded corners, would only be at 6.1 inches. This means that the phone will dwarf the explosive Galaxy Note 7 which has since been discontinued.

The information is care of a certain Evan Blass. It should be noted that given the speculative nature of the Twitter post, fans should take it with a grain of salt. However, it should also be noted that Blass does have a reputation of being a prolific leaker.

The display specs were made available along with other S8 Plus features that include a 12megapixel Dual Pixel back camera, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, 4 gigabytes of RAM, 64 gigabytes of internal storage with microSD external storage support, and wireless charging capabilities. The smartphone is also IP68 dust-resistant and water-resistant.

The S8 Plus is said to also come with Samsung Pay and AKG earphones. It doesn't make mention of what Android OS version it will have pre-installed but it is assumed that it could be fairly new Nougat 7.0.

One feature that that stands out aside from the S8 Plus's display size is the iris scanner which seems to be replacing the fingerprint scanner. The latter is not mentioned as part of the specs of the much-awaited smartphone nor is the processor which is speculated to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835.

Earlier speculations have suggested that the Galaxy S8 Plus would have a 5.7-inch display. However, this no longer seems to be the case as tweeted by Blass.
