A Bugatti Chiron For $1.2 Million Is Just Too Good To Be True

It might sound like a beginning of a bad joke but a man from the United States is selling his Bugatti Chiron for just $1.24 million. The Chiron retails for $2.7 million, with some models that sport all the liveries and upgrades costing in excess of $3 million.

The Bugatti Chiron was posted on Craigslist for just $1.2 million. As of this writing, the ad was already flagged for removal. Nevertheless, the seller claims that he has two Chirons which he purchased off of a Miami dealership. The Chiron that he is selling has just clocked 8 miles on its odometer.

The alleged owner of the Bugatti Chiron told Jalopnik that he originally bought the car for his wife but she, unfortunately, does not want it. He added that his wife wants a car that is "less fast." Nevertheless, when asked about further details, the seller said that he is pushing the price of the car to $2.5 million.

A photo that came along with the Craigslist ad shows a Chiron that its exterior is adorned with two different shades of the color blue. Based on the details provided by the seller, the car's specs are identical to the Chiron which was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2016.

Keen shoppers have instantly recognized the ad as a fraud. Some claim that a $2.7 million car being resold for less than half its original price is just too good to be true. This led some shoppers to investigate the alleged seller, and it did not take long to prove that it is indeed a fraud.

The seller even went as far as photoshopping a Bugatti Veyron specs sheet and pass it off as that of the Bugatti Chiron that he is selling. As for the photo, some deduce that it was probably taken when the car was being presented to potential buyers, according to Carscoop.
