General Motors ranked highest in four different segments in the J.D. Power and Associates 2013 Vehicle Dependability Study according to a company press release.
The award recipients in their respective categories include:
-Buick Lucerne- Large Car
-Chevrolet Tahoe- Large Crossover/SUV
-Chevrolet Camaro- Midsize Sporty
-GMC Serra HD- Large Pickup
Overall the company had 11 different models place in the top three for their segments according to the press release issued this week.
"As GM heads into a big year of new model launches, we believe this tells us that we engineer and manufacture our cars and trucks so that they are reliable and last a long time," said Alicia Boler-Davis, vice president Global Quality and U.S. Customer Experience in the press release.
The Camaro received the highest dependability award in its segment in its first year on the market.
The GMC Sierra HDm Sierra LD and Chevy Avalanche dominated the top three spots in the Large Pickup segment for dependability. The same models also took the top three spots in their segment in the 2012 J.D. Power and Associates Initial Quality Study.
"Outstanding, dependable vehicles combined with an exceptional customer experience are the cornerstones of our commitment to provide the best overall ownership experience in the industry," said Boler-Davis in the press release.
