The Audi-owned design house recently revealed that it will create a new ultra low production supercar division, and now several images of its first version have been released ahead of a Geneva Motor Show world debut.  Italdesign already has formed a business division to build the limited-edition supercars.

The division, otherwise known as the Italdesign Automobili Speciali, plans to make five samples of the two-seat carbon-fiber supercar. It will be equipped with a 5.2-liter V-10 engine that is also used on top-end models of the Audi R8 and has the capability to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in just 3.2 seconds and a top speed of more than 205 mph.

Joerg Astalosch, Italdesign CEO, told Automotive News Europe in an interview, "Other limited-edition coupes and roadsters will follow from the design house aimed mainly to collectors. We plan to launch a new one-off or ultra-low volume series every 18 to 24 months, one-offs will be small projects of up to nine vehicles while ultra-low series will be between 10 and 99 units."

The car's body will measure 190 inches in length, 77 inches in width, and 47 inches in height. Each car will use a modular carbon fiber and aluminum chassis, with bespole carbon fiber bodywork. Meanwhile, it's also been reported that the automaker might also supply other Volkswagen Group brands and non-VW Group automakers with very low volume, high-quality production versions with the company bringing out the design, engineering, and production.

The car looks distinctly similar to Lamborghini's latest design, the supercar has been designed to offer what is called two sides of one medal. Meaning, it combines smooth GT inspired design above the belt line and offered a more aggressive and technical look.

No further detail about unnamed supercar was revealed but expect it to be around $1.6 million. The Italdesign supercar will be making its debut at Geneva Motor Show early next month.
