Despite the luxury price, demand for 2013 Range Rovers is so high that it has effectively exceeded supply, selling out on the U.S. market, reports state.
The British-imported luxury SUV, a Land Rover brand, is rich on details and style, with Victoria Becham reportedly playing a role in the design and creation of the Evoque model.
"We are asking for as many vehicles as we can get. The vehicle is sold out for six months to a year", said Chris Marchand, executive vice president of operations at Jaguar Land Rover North America, The New York Daily News reported.
America is Range Rover's biggest market and New York garners more Range Rover sales than any other city in the world, according to the Daily News.
The $83,545 base model went on sale in December, but demand is so strong that all North America deliveries have been upgraded to at least the HSE edition, which retails for $88,545.
The latest model Range Rover is an improvement over the last generation in part because of its lightweight aluminum construction, which allowed designers to shed some 700 pounds off the vehicle's weight, MotorAuthority reported.
The news of the Range Rover's stellar sales comes at the same time as the annual J.D. Power and Associates Vehicle Dependability Study, which ranks a variety of auto manufacturers on dependability based on reviews of three-year old cars.
The study ranked Land Rover the least dependable vehicle brand in its new study, reporting 220 problems per 100 vehicles surveyed. The most dependable brand was Lexus, which had 71 reported problems per 100 vehicles surveyed.
