The Ducati Multistrada Enduro is easy of the company's best bike in its lineup. However, when treated as an adventure bike, the Multistrada Enduro is perhaps the only one that qualifies in the company's vast portfolio.
In reality, Ducati is dipping its toes into the big adventure bike market rather late. Although this is not exactly a bad thing since Ducati might have taken that time to study some of its rivals' products and make assessments based on their strengths and weaknesses. The resulting end of this is the Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro, an adventure bike that is more than capable of competing with the like of KTM Adventure, BMW GS, and the recently released Honda Africa Twin.
As with all Multistradas that came before it, the 1200 Enduro packs a lot of modern technology to boost. As a street bike, it is magnificent with its engine outputting 160-horsepower and 100Nm torque according to Detroit News. The bike is also packed with impressive suspension, standard cruise control, traction control, wheelie control, as well as ABS and riding modes.
The 1200 Enduro is considered as a major upgrade from the standard Ducati Multistrada. The bike has 1.2-inches ground clearance compared to its standard counterpart. This raises the bike's ride height to 34 inches, making it a bit harder for people under 6-feet to ride.
The Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro has several riding modes that suit almost every type of road. Riders can also disable the traction control and ABS feature for a better off-road riding. According to Bike Sport News, the bike has four riding modes: Enduro, Touring, Sport, and Urban. Moreover, when the bike is set to Enduro mode the 160-horsepower engine drops to just 100-horsepower making the bike more manageable.
Some motoring experts pointed out that the Multistrada Enduro is not that good when it comes to off-road riding. While this might be true at some point, most adventure riders prefer long distance riding within leaving the pavement, and the Multistrada Enduro shines here.
As for its price, the Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro costs $21,295. Check out the video below showing the riding capabilities of the Multistrada Enduro.
