Netflix finally showed the much-awaited airing of its "The Seven Deadly Sins" on February 17. But instead of showing the advertised Season 2, the entertainment giant aired the "Signs of Holy War."
Fans became very frustrated when they realized they were right all along. Last week, fans were already skeptical if indeed Netflix will be able to show the Season 2 of the popular anime series.
It can be recalled that Netflix showed a advertisement banner in their websites with a Season 2 caption. At that time, their followers already guessed that they mislabeled the teaser as "The Seven Deadly Sins," when in fact it should be Signs of Holy War as mentioned in Mobile and Apps report.
Some followers of the anime series were still hoping at the last minute before the show was aired that it would show "SDS" Season 2. They even renewed their Netflix subscriptions because of their love for "The Seven Deadly Sins." But their hopes were filled with disappointment when Netflix changed their graphics caption to "Signs of Holy War," and alas, only the OVA was shown.
According to Starz Post, the Signs of Holy war is a mini-series that was aired in Japan in August 2016. This is the same material Netflix showed last week.
Meanwhile, the "Sign of Holy War" will give an overview of what happened in Britannia as retold by Princess Elizabeth. This four episode OVA will also focus on the struggles Meliodas and his peers have to go through to fight against their enemies.
Inquistr mentioned that the Signs of Holy Wars will include the main characters Meliodas and Princess Elizabeth played by Yuuki Kaji and Sora Amamiya. Also in this series are Misaki Kuno, Aoi Yuki, Tatsihisa Suzuki,Jun Fukuyuma,Mamoru Miyano,Takahiro Sakurai,Ryohei Kimura , Maaya Sakamoto and Yuuhei Takagi. They will be playing the roles of Hawk, Diane, Ban, King, Gilthunder, Griamor, Hauser, Merlin and Gowther. These characters will grace the OVA TV special in the coming weeks.
Anime lovers are still looking forward to see the full Season 2 "The Seven Deadly Sins" in Netflix. As of the moment, no official news about its definite airing is released.
