The iOS 10.2 jailbreak released by @qwertyoruiopz aka Luca Todesco is now compatible with all Apple devices. While Todesco only released it in beta and with no 7 series support, other developers have found workarounds that will allow the iPhone 7 to use the new jailbreak.

Earlier, it was reported that the new jailbreak will not work for iPhone 7. However, those lucky users who did not upgrade their smartphones can still use it. While it was also previously capable of being downgraded, sadly, iOS 10.2 can no longer be downgraded at this time. As a consequence, those who have already upgraded their iPhones can no longer use this jailbreak.

According to Everything Apple Pro, the new iOS 10.2 jailbreak supports the iPhone 5S, 6, and 6S. For the iPhone 7 and 7+, a user will need 10.1 or 10.1.1. It is also semi untethered meaning every time the phone or device is restarted, it will need to be re-jailbroken. This is actual an advantage because users can still have an Apple store honor the warranties of their phone upon un-jailbreaking it. The full process is available below.


First, users will need to visit the Cydia Impactor and the Yalu website. The Beta 7 can be found on the website and is reportedly very stable now. The Yalu 10.2 icon will be available, and the user needs to click on it. As great as this is, there is one major downside to this new jailbreak. The latest jailbreak requires reinstallation every seven days. Considering it only takes a few minutes to run and reinstall the tool, this isn't that bad.

EverythingApplePro also reported that this may be one of the last iOS jailbreaks in a very, very long time. It was already previously reported that Luca Todesco is set to go on a hiatus after this latest iOS 10.2 jailbreak.

There are new developments. Todesco has stated that he does intend to update his Yalu1011 to support iPhone 7 one day. He tweeted this on Feb. 2. Since then, he has also tweeted saying there is a reason why 10.2 is not yet available for the iPhone 7 at this point.
