Tesla has now shut down the Fremont factory to update the manufacturing unit before the production of Model 3 begins. However, there are leaked photos of the actual Model 3 chassis and the 'alien dreadnought,' the vehicle's production line as the CEO calls it.

The name that the Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, had given to the Model 3 production line is 'alien dreadnought'. He also teased that the factory will be updated and it will start looking more 'alien' than an actual factory.

According to reports, Elon Musk is primarily focused on the speed of the production. He stated that the Model S and X production move at about five centimeters per second on the line. However, the CEO claims that it can increase by 20 times, reported Electrek.

About the Tesla Model 3, Elon Musk stated that the first look that will be given will be the "version 0.5" of the "alien dreadnought." He promises more automation on the line with more technology and he envisions a version 3, reported Clean Technica.

"By version 3, it won't look like anything else. You can't have people in the production line itself, otherwise, you drop to people speed. So there will be no people in the production process itself. People will maintain the machines, upgrade them, and deal with anomalies," he said.

Meanwhile, an employee of Tesla posted pictures from inside the factory on his Instagram. The photos were grabbed before they were pulled down by Tesla.

 It does seem that the section named 'Area 51' is the "alien dreadnought". Also, the picture could be sporting the upcoming Tesla Model 3 chassis.

Tesla Model 3 is highly awaited and it does certainly seem that the car is production-ready. There are reports that the production will start in a week's time though this has not been confirmed by Tesla.
