Ferrari has just introduced the Ferrari 812 Superfast ahead of its debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. The supercar is being introduced as Ferrari is celebrating its 70th anniversary and there is a lot of expectation attached to it.

The 812 closely resembles the F12 in looks. However, the headlights and front fascia have been redesigned. It is also fitted with active flaps to improve aerodynamics. The car also has four taillights instead of the usual two, reported The Motor Report.

There is no doubt that the car will be a power house. The specifications of the car boast of 789-hp, 530-lb-ft 6.5-liter V-12 engine, perhaps the most powerful ever and definitely the most powerful from the Ferrari house.

Ferrari made the Ferrari 812 Superfast invincible by giving it a brand new engine which pushes up to 8,500 rpm and max torque at 7,000 rpm. The speed factor of the car is contributed by the Formula 1 technology which includes a new 350-bar direct-injection system and variable-geometry intake tracts. The car can zoom from 0-62 mph in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of more than 211 mph.

It can be said that the Ferrari 812 Superfast is a tad better than 770-hp F12tdf. It has come under the Ferrari banner to replace the F12 Berlinetta, reported Motor Trend.

Speaking of firsts, the 812 Superfast will be the first make use of electric power steering. It is yet to be witnessed how this will perform on the roads but it is expected to boost the car's performance. It is reported that the 812 Superfast will also get version 5.0 of Ferrari's Side Slip Control system. It will also be having a Virtual Short Wheelbase system which will help in improving handling and response.

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of Ferrari, the Ferrari 812 will be available in a new shade of red. It will make an appearance at the Geneva show.
