The 2017 Hyundai i30 Wagon is going to be presented at the Geneva Motor Show in early March. The 2017 Hyundai i30 wagon comes with a sporty face, a superb back, and unique charm.

According to CarAdvice, the Hyundai i30 wagon was last spotted doing pre-production testing in late November 2016. The front of the i30 is expected to be a mirror image of the hatchback that is set to go on sale in Australia in April. On the outside, the wagon has lengthened rear overhand that results in a longer roof, thinner D-pillars, a different set of tail-lights, and a new tailgate.

It is targeted at the European market and it was designed at the company’s German research and development center. According to Thomas Buerkle, chief designer at Hyundai’s European design center, the new wagon will have a tapering roofline and its dynamic proportions will give the wagon an almost coupe-like silhouette.

Auto Express reported that the new i30 wagon is expected to have 528-liter carrying capacity. That is 133-liter more than the i30 hatchback model. It is also expected to have the same engine variants as the i30 hatchback. The entry-level petrol engine is a 1.4-liter four cylinder engine that has 99 horsepower. The mid-level 1.0-liter three cylinder turbocharged engine comes with 118 horsepower, and the high-level 1.4-liter four cylinder turbocharged engine has 138 horsepower.

The latest engine can also be equipped with a seven-speed automatic gearbox. The diesel option comes with the same engine, but is available in three different states of tune. It is 1.6-liter four cylinder engine that comes with either 94 horsepower, 109 horsepower, or 134 horsepower plus the option of an automatic gearbox. The new engines are more efficient than the ones used in the old models. The starting price of 2017 Hyundai i30 wagon is €21,699, but it can go significantly higher depending on the trim levels and other optional accessories.
