The Final Fantasy game franchise keeps proving the strength of its following through its fan base. In the 2017 Final Fantasy Festival held in Frankfurt, Germany, one of the highlights was the announcement of the possibility of a version made for Nintendo Switch console and a PS4 Pro patch.

Reports from Gamespot confirms additional details shared by the video game developer Square Enix about the upcoming release of Final Fantasy XIV pegged as Stormblood midyear 2017. Notably, producer Naoki Yoshida's comments are far more promising for the PS4 than for the Switch. Since its release in November, many games have created patches to align with the console. In an interview with Yoshida, they have already started working on the patch for Pro and a complete information about this would be available soon.

The producer further explained that instead of focusing on the display quality of the game, the PS4 Pro would be capitalized to enhance the game performance. This may be a good diversion for players that can further make the gaming experience more than satisfying.

On the other hand, the Nintendo Switch edition remains a possible direction for the game creators. They have expressed concerns about the limitations that may arise should a version for Nintendo Switch, which will be launched on March 3, is to be made. Other than this, however, there are no more issues standing in the way of a port made for Switch users.

As for the Final Fantasy and Stormblood, not only bigger and updated maps will be made available but there is also the exciting inclusion of samurais as characters in the game. If this is not yet enough to make the fans on the edge for Stormblood, the inventory sizes, and players' building capacities have also been tweaked in the game, The Irish News reported.  All this came with other festivities and activities were enough to keep avid gamers and die-hard FF fans excited for the game's release on June 20.
