The BMW 2002 Turbo is one of the German automobile manufacturer's most nostalgic cars. It has excellent bodywork for a car from the '70s and is arguably one of the best drivers' cars of all time.

These cars were able to catch the attention of many car enthusiasts, and as a result, it established the automaker as an international brand.

2002 Turbo. BMW Blog reported that 2002 means a lot to the German automaker and its fans because it is one of the most iconic cars from the 02 Series. In addition, it created the 3 series. Moreover, it is fondly recalled as one of the best drivers' cars of all time.

The 2002 used a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a huge KKK turbocharger slapped on it. All in all the iconic little car was able to produce 168 horsepower which was exquisite back in the 70s. Actually, this kind of speed on such a small car was actually kind of scary and required an experienced driver to control it.

The 2002 Turbo was a force to be reckoned with back in the day. While modern performance cars are fast, they practically drive themselves. Cars like the 2002 Turbo require real skill. A particular rhythm and relationship between the car and driver is necessary.

Top Gear was able to test the car last year. The automotive website reported that once the engine reaches 4,000rpm, the turbo turns on and the car can deliver 173 lb-ft of torque. This is a great feat for such a tiny car from the 70s.
