The service life of the 2016 Mazda CX-3 was determined to reach 35,175 miles. It could also run as fast as 425 miles on the clock. Therefore, the limited warranty cannot be maximized by the customer due to how fast and how far the vehicle can go in a year, reported Motor Trend. In fact, in a span of 15 months, the model would have exhausted its limited warranty instead of the allotted three years.

Similarly, the average U.S. driver can cover about 13,376 mi. per year, according to the Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration. This fact also suggested that the 2016 Mazda CX-3 can age faster than anticipated. Although the powertrain was said to be predictably enjoyable for the allotted miles, the same cannot be said after it runs out of its limited warranty.

Despite the aging setback, the model has earned 18,000 sales since 2016. In fact, it has been labeled as the most popular choice under the small SUV segment in Australia alone. However, Motoring reported that it is not the most affordable vehicle of its kind, nor is it the best value for consumer's money. It has better passenger capacity which may not be practical compared to the Mazda but was 575 mm. shorter and 95 mm. longer.
