A new version of the Hyundai Accent has been revealed. The 2018 Accent now sports a more upscale and mature look that it takes from the Elantra along with new features and a lot of safety technology.

The 2018 Hyundai Accent. The new 2018 Accent was recently revealed in Toronto at the Canadian Motor Show. Just like the previous model, the 2018 model will come in hatchback and sedan versions.\

The new Accent is now longer and larger by 0.60 inches and half an inch respectively than the previous model. It sports a design that borrows heavily from the Elantra making it look like a much smaller version of it both on the front and rear. It sports a wide grille with horizontal chrome bars.

The insides went through some major changes, too. It features a new driver-centric center stack with an infotainment system with a display that can either come in 5.0 inches or 7.0 inches. The vehicle has been confirmed to support both Apple's CarPlay and Android Auto. It will feature dual USB ports and auxiliary inputs as well.

Under the hood of the 2018 Accent is a 'Gamma' direct injection 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. It is able to put out 132 horsepower and has 119 pound-feet of torque. It can be mated to either a six-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual transmission. Although usually present in higher-end cars, the 2018 Accent will sport a mode selector that will allow drivers to customize the vehicle's electronic power steering system.

As far as safety technology is concerned, it now has automatic emergency braking which is a first for the Accent. In addition, it will feature six airbags and a rearview camera with dynamic guidelines.

There are not any more details known about the new 2018 Hyundai Accent except photos released. It has been said that the vehicle is only available to left-hand drive markets.
