Bugatti Chiron: Breaking New Dimensions

Bugatti Chiron is the world’s most powerful, fastest, most luxurious and most exclusive production super sports car. It is ultra-modern, incredibly fast, agile and powerful with a stylistically demanding design and the highest possible levels of comfort.

According to Motor Authority, the latest Bugatti Chiron is equipped with a turbocharged 8.0-liter W-16 engine. It has an output of 1,480 horsepower and 1,180 pound-feet of torque, which is available starting at 2,000 rpm. The four turbos work in sequence. The first two are smaller with a quick spool-time, and they work under 3,800 rpm. Above 3,800 rpm, the other two turbos kick in, though with a slight delay from one to another. These are larger than those in the Bugatti Veyron, which is why the Chiron makes roughly 300 more horsepower.

Chiron is also equipped with new titanium exhaust system that also adds power by reducing back pressure. Chiron comes with 7-speed dual clutch transmission and it is the largest clutch on the market. The all-wheel-drive system has a front-axle differential with an integrated inner-axle lock and a rear differential with an integrated inter-wheel lock. On the outside, Chiron’s design is defined by just a few lines: the low nose with the signature horsecollar grille, the strong C shape along the sides, the low line that defines the top of the car from nose to tail, and the cut-off and open rear end. The interior is a reflection of the exterior as well.

Road And Track reported that Bugatti Chiron apparently rips from 0-250 mph in under a minute. On a demonstration lap at last year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, Bugatti Chiron hit 236 mph on the Mulsanne straight. That is the highest top speed than any car that has entered into the race. Bugatti Chiron is limited to 261 mph, and they won’t test the car without its limiter until 2018.
