Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei has kept its silence regarding the details of the company's two upcoming flagship devices: the Huawei P10 and the Huawei P10 Plus. The two smartphones are expected to debut at the upcoming Mobile World Congress on February 26. Recently, one of the smartphones was spotted to have received an official Federal Communications Commission certification.

The FCC certification was granted to the Huawei P10 model. Based on the filing, the P10 has a VTR-L29 model number and has acquired permission to be sold in the United States and Canada. Not a lot of details can be extracted from the filing, although this confirms previous rumors that Huawei is expanding its market to cover North America.

Although the FCC filing did not reveal a lot of details, previous leaks and rumors have given the tech community a rather vague view of what to expect with the Huawei P10 and Huawei P10 Plus. The P10 is expected to have a Kirin 960 chipset with an octa-core processor. It will come in two variants depending on RAM, 4GB and 6GB. As for the operating system, the phone is expected to run on Android 7.0 Nougat with Huawei's custom interface EMUI on top, according to Android Headlines.

The Huawei P10 is sure to appeal to users who are into photography. According to Phone Arena, the phone packs two 12-megapixel Leica cameras in dual configuration as its rear-facing main camera. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel camera for video calling and selfie shots. The phone also packs a fingerprint scanner embedded at the Home button. Powering the phone is a 3100mAh battery pack.

As for the variations between the Huawei P10 and Huawei P10 Plus, rumors had it that the former sports a flat display screen while the latter has a dual-edged display. The two smartphones are expected to debut at the 2017 MWC in Barcelona later this month.
