Chrysler Group LLC revealed today that they will be producing a limited-edition Mopar 2013 Dart, the fourth special-edition Mopar vehicle to be created since the company paired up with Fiat S.p.A. back in 2009.
The vehicle will be showcased for the first time at next week's Chicago Auto Show according to an issued company press release.
The limited-edition Mopar Dart will be constructed and customized with Mopar performance parts and accessories. Only 500 Dart models will be produced, and production is set to begin this spring at the company's assembly plant in Belvidere, I.L.
"Our new Mopar '13 Dart will turn heads and stand out from the crowd," said Pietro Gorlier , President and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group's service, parts and customer-care brand. "For this special, limited-edition vehicle, we specifically kept the driver in mind as we added select Mopar parts and accessories."
The company stated this week that vehicle was designed for driving enthusiasts, and comes with a number of features that should keep interested customers happy. The Dart includes a 1.4-liter MultiAir intercooled turbo engine with a manual transmission, a gloss-black finish with a pair of car-length Mopar Blue stripes, which is similar to the three previous Mopar vehicles.

Upgrades include steering-gear calibration, a 7 millimeter-lowered suspension and low-profile 40 aspect performance tires according to the press release. The Mopar also includes a premium brake kit with slotted rotors, a performance-tuned exhaust to optimize aerodynamics. The vehicles ground-effects kid comes with a front-chin spoiler, a one-piece deck-lid spoiler, and "a unique" styled rear diffuser.
The special-edition vehicle includes an industry first wireless charging for smartphone devices, to go along with a standard 8.4-inch navigation screen.
Each model will be sold to each customer with a personalized owner kid. The custom made black case, and contents inside include a personalized plate with vehicle specifications like the date the model was manufactured, and an unique identification number.
