Three essential factors make Oculus Rift Virtual Reality System work astonishingly. First is, of course, the headset, second is the PC who does all of the computing, and finally the sensors which are crucial to keeping users physical environment on track.
The "room-scale tracking," which allows the VR system to track users location within larger spaces, apparently spotted to exhibit a serious issue. A Redditor posted a video demonstrating what bug looks like, and apparently, it is not sharp with its tracking. According to Digital Trends, Oculus already sent out solutions and additional sensors to precisely sync users location within large rooms. Unfortunately, the solution still runs into some problem.
As shown in the video above, the user pointed out saying "this is not the floor" implies poor precision for the Oculus Rift. The 1.11 update was intended to fix room-scale tracking performance issue. However, the update introduces more severe problems. In response to this video demonstration, Oculus stated, "Thank you for sharing. We're working on core software improvements that should hopefully address these issues. This [issue] is the top priority for the next two releases, including 1.12 which will ship this month. We're determined to deliver rock solid, robust tracking and appreciate all the feedback."
Although everyone expects the solution to be readily available, Oculus response is not much of help. But, the point it explicitly states update 1.12 coming this month means hope for every Oculus Rift user. Apparently, Oculus appeared to be not as cheerful with the room-scale tracking, at least the company is doing revisions to make this work. For some, it may not be that much of a deal, but for others who find it an essential part of the VR experience, the upcoming update might serve them well.
