The Cayman GT4 RS Exists? Porsche Employee Revealed Details

An employee from Porsche Centre Brisbane in Australia revealed confirmation details of the Cayman GT4 RS via Social Media. Unfortunately, the Instagram post was already taken down by Porsche themselves and again denies the car existence. What kind of drama is Porsche doing?

CarAdvice successfully snags screenshots of the said Instagram post that says,"due to high demand, a GT4 RS is on its way - with more power and a 4.0L flat-six engine, this limited model will turn heads." The discussion about the Cayman GT4 RS existence is a never-ending story. Specs and Features provided up to this day remains as a rumor.

So what are the details suggesting the Cayman GT4 RS performance will look like? Porsche Motorsport Chief Andreas Preuninger hinted the possible outcome of the Cayman GT4 RS. In his statement, Preuninger pointed out that the 911 GT3 RS's 4.0-litre flat six will be forced to fit into a mid-size engine Cayman, thus, the basis for the Cayman GT4 RS. Also, rumors suggest the GT4 RS is powered by a version of the 368kW/460Nm 4.0-litre flat-six similar to the GT3 RS.

The same source also stated that the Cayman GT4 RS engine would more likely focus on power. The information listed are too little to discuss. But, it is expected that the GT4 RS, once released, will be joined by a series-two 911 GT3 range at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

Without a doubt, even Porsche's employees could not contain the excitement over the Cayman GT4 RS. The source reached out to Porsche Cars Australia to confirm the said announcement message, Porsche 100% denies.
