Production of the Nintendo NES Classic Edition will indeed continue contrary to circulating reports. The company has finally slammed rumors of Nintendo ceasing production of the iconic gaming system.

Nintendo UK representative sent a statement to TechRadar, breaking their silence on the issue that production of the Nintendo NES Classic Edition has ended. "Production for the Nintendo Classic Mini: NES continues, and NOE [Nintendo of Europe] will continue to ship units to retail on a regular basis," said the company rep.

This statement is in response to a report from a NeoGaf post wherein Roarer, user name, claims that he received word from Nintendo or Bergsala, the company's Nordic distributor, that Nintendo NES Classic Edition has reached the end of its life. He even added that iconic classic gaming console will be phased out.

At least Nintendo has cleared the air in terms of the classic console's fate. However, fans are still clamoring for further details as to when additional shipment of the highly anticipated console will arrive in retailers.

Interest in the rumor has pointed out that many are still hoping to get their hands on the Nintendo NES Classic Edition. And that Nintendo was not able to keep up with demand. The company does need to amp up production in order to meet customers, even half-way.

Meanwhile, GameSpot has reported that even the $185 NES Classic Edition Bundle was almost immediately sold out at Walmart. They had the hard-to-find console and placed it an unappealing bundle. But that didn't stop customers from buying the console.

Only Nintendo can officially announce when production of the Nintendo NES Classic Edition will cease. But its brother, the Switch, has sold out its pre-orders. It is notable that the classic console will not last for long as Nintendo will have to shift its production team in favor of the upcoming Switch console.
