Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus To Replace Galaxy Edge? Galaxy S8 Features 2 Selfie Cameras?

Samsung has reportedly confirmed the sibling of Galaxy S8. Reports now say that Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus is coming out alongside the Galaxy S8. Does this Plus variant now scrape the Edge variant? In addition, allegedly leaked renders are now circulating the web, showing the new handset has two camera lens holes in front.

The Korean tech giant has reportedly confirmed the existence of the larger variant, Galaxy S8 Plus through its official support page live of the smartphone. According to Forbes, Samsung created a live page on the official Samsung India website which revealed the existence of the Galaxy S8 Plus variant. Unfortunately, the link now shows an error message.

With regard to the specs of the Plus variant, the new device is anticipated to have powerful specs too. The Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus is expected to come with a gigantic 6.2-inch curved 2K AMOLED display, occupying the whole chassis of the new smartphone.

The Plus variant will most likely carry a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or an Exynos 8895 chip. The new device has 64GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM. It is also expected to feature a microSD slot, fingerprint and iris scanners, IP68 water resistance level, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Meanwhile, alleged renders have been leaked revealing some details for Samsung Galaxy S8. The leaked images have surfaced on a Chinese social media account. According to the Sun, if the leaked renders are legit, the new device is confirmed to have an infinity screen and without a home button.

Furthermore, the leaked image reveals the upcoming Galaxy S8 is sporting two selfie cameras. The image shows there are two camera lens holes located on the front right side of the handset.

Samsung Galaxy S8 is one of the most anticipated smartphones this year. The news of its "Plus" variant seems to pull up the excitement level.
