Without a doubt, PewDiePie is considered as Youtube's biggest online star. With his wits and entertaining humor, no wonder he gets the attention of many YouTubers. PewDiePie has been tagged on many controversies, but today seems to be his worst nightmare.
The Verge reported that PewDiePie's original series, Scare PewDiePie, a Youtube Red exclusive are now being canceled by the company. This action is the result of PewDiePie's usage of Nazi imagery that caused his corporate partners to close doors.
Youtube spokesperson confirms that PewDiePie's original series is not the only portion being disabled. His Google Preferred advertising program will also be discontinued by Youtube as well. Although PewDiePie's Youtube channel with 50 million subscribers will be retained, his earnings will definitely be affected by the disabling of its preferred programs advertising.
Also, Disney's Maker Studios, the Youtube branch of the American Entertainment Company is dropping PewDiePie due to anti-Semitic humor actions. On Monday, Maker Studio closed all contact to PewDiePie's Youtube Channel after making a joke on the death of all Jewish people descent. This joke caused a lot of hot heads crashing PewDiePie's Youtube account.
In PewDiePie's defense, he stated, "I was trying to show how crazy the modern world is, specifically some of the services available online. I picked something that seemed absurd to me - that people on Fiverr would say anything for 5 dollars."
One of Maker Studios representative responded on PewDiePie's defense by saying "he clearly went too far in this case and the resulting videos are inappropriate. Maker Studios has made the decision to end our affiliation with him going forward."
After all that happened, PewDiePie accepts accountability over offensive jokes. Even though the joke video and his defense video has been removed, PewDiePie deemed guilty of this actions.
