Hello Games launched the game July and after that took around four months' time to give out the November Foundation update. Going by this, the content update will happen in March.

There are reports that many of the hardcore fans are willing to shell out money for added "No Man's Sky" DLC. However, such a drastic measure need not be taken as the new content is just about to be released, reported Daily Star.

There are reports that there are many data miners who found a lot of evidence of land vehicles in the new "No Man's Sky" update. According to reports, the vehicles will also have a jet engine, mounted guns and vertical boosters. These features will also have the option through which they can be upgraded using in-game technologies, reported N4G.

It is rumored that the announcement of the new update of "No Man's Sky" will happen at an event in March. Sean Murray, the game's lead programmer, will announce this at the 2017 Game Developer's Conference on March 3. His lecture will be titled, "Building Worlds Using Maths" and will view in detail the algorithm that generates the game's 18 quintillion planets.
