Alcatel Idol 4S Windows 10 Model Gets Price Cut On T-Mobile

The Alcatel Idol 4S received a price cut on T-Mobile. Instead of the original $432 price tag, the Idol 4S can now be purchased for only $288 on T-Mobile's online store.

However, there is one catch to this deal. The price cut is only offered for the Windows 10 model of the Alcatel Idol 4S. T-Mobile has yet to confirm whether the price cut will be offered for the Android version of the phone.

There are two ways on how to avail of this new deal. First is to pay $288 upfront for the phone. The second option is to sign a 24-month contract for $12 each month. It is important to note that when purchasing this phone upfront, a SIM starter kit needs to be purchased as well and it costs $20, according to Tech Times.

The Alcatel Idol 4S is not exactly a premium-tiered smartphone. However, it is an affordable alternative to experience the Windows 10 Mobile operating system. Another interesting feature is that the phone comes with a VR headset and a case, according to Phone Arena.

In terms of specs, the Idol 4S packs a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with Full HD resolution. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with an octa-core processor and an Adreno graphics processing unit. It has 4GB of memory and 64GB of storage space which can be expanded via the microSD slot.

On the camera aspect, the Idol 4S has a 21-megapixel rear-facing main camera. It also packs an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie shots and video calling. Powering the phone is a 3000mAh battery pack with support for Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 technology.

The Alcatel Idol 4S originally runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow when it was released in February 2016. Alcatel released a variant that runs on Windows 10 Mobile in November 2016. T-Mobile has yet to confirm whether the price cut is for a limited only or it will eventually be the actual price of the Idol 4S.
