Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti May Be Released At The PAX Event In March

CES 2017 concluded back in January without Nvidia ever introducing their GTX 1080 Ti graphics processing unit. It left fans feeling more excited than ever for the release of the GPU.

The GTX 1080 Ti GPU possible release date. The new graphics card from Nvidia has gotten enthusiasts overly excited with its speculated high-performance features. Fans are as eager to try out the GPU as they are to find out when exactly it will be released.

An unnamed MSI representative has allegedly given out some details on the 1080 Ti's release date. The graphics card is reportedly going to be officially announced on March 10, 2017, at the PAX event, which is a series of gaming festivals held in Seattle, Boston.

Speculations are revolving around a possible reveal at the Game Developer's Conference at the end of this month. However, this could prove to be false given that the GDC's target audience is developers, not gamers who have more business to care about the much-awaited GPU.

There are not any other sources claiming the release date to be true and Nvidia has kept mum on it. Enthusiasts were initially hoping that the GPU would be announced at this year's CES last month. Fans will just have to wait for an official word from the California-based company.

The GTX 1080 Ti is expected to be one of the company's top-end graphics cards to be released this year. It is designed to go head to head with AMD's Vega 10 GPUs.

Speculations about the graphics card's features include 10 gigabytes of GDDR5 VRAM and a GP102 chip with a 348-bit memory bandwidth VRAM. It is expected to have a clock speed of 1623 MHz capable of reaching 60 fps at 4K resolution.

The GTX 1080 Ti is being positioned as a GPU between the 1080 and Titan X. It is expected to retail at around US$800 to US$900.
